Welcome to the University of Mary Washington Dining Services website.  This is your best resource for information on every aspect of campus dining.  Here at the University of Mary Washington, our dining services team is committed to providing you with extraordinary meals that reflect current culinary trends and cuisine from around the world.  We serve innovative and creative meals everyday and we are always looking to not only satisfy our customers, but exceed their expectations.  The menu that we offer has a balance of both nutritious and high quality cuisine as well as the comfort of a home cooked meal.  Our staff understands that meal time is not simply devoted to fueling up.  We take a special interest in our students and try to make eating every meal into a fulfilling experience. 

This past summer we have completely revamped the Bistro and South Market to offer you more diverse dining selections along with a more contemporary mood and ambiance.  With that in mind, we are working hard to enhance your entire dining experience, from our excellent staff to our comfortable and convenient dining facilities. 

To show that we care about your input we have updated our website to include features that will assist you in getting your favorite dishes on the menu.  The first addition we have made is the Voting Booth.  This feature lets you cast your vote for your favorite entrée from among four selections.  The following week the winning entrée will be served at our Top Hits Station in the Washington Diner.  This is a great and easy way for you to have a voice in our menu offerings.  Our second feature recently added is the Favorites From Home page which allows you, your mom, or any other relative or friend to submit a recipe for one of your favorite dishes.  At the end of each month we will select one winning entry, which will be served in our dining hall for all to enjoy.  Of course, there are lots of other great features on our web site.  We hope you will take a few minutes to visit every page and familiarize yourself with our site so that you will be able to take advantage of all the things Dining Services has to offer.  Don’t forget to check out the Events and Promotions page regularly so you won’t miss any of our great special events and opportunities to win prizes!

As you can see we want you to take an active role in helping us customize our programs and menus so that we can do the best possible job of meeting your needs.  We have many different ways that you can have a voice in our programs.  Here are just a few:

• Fill out a Customer Comment Card – available in every dining room and at the Eagle’s Nest.
• Speak directly to one of our Managers who are available during every meal period.
• Attend our Student Dining Advisory Committee Meetings, usually held twice a month.
• Send us your comments via the comment section on the website
• Telephone or e-mail any member of our management staff
• Join our Facebook Group – UMW Dining Group.  You may post comments on the wall or start discussions!
• Fill out our formal Customer Satisfaction Survey which is distributed twice a year.

If you have any special dietary needs, be sure to let us know!  Our Executive Chef, Fred German, will work with you to ensure you have delectable meals that will meet your dietary requirements.  And, of course, you may call me at any time to discuss any aspect of our programs and services.
