Helpful Meal Plan Tips for 2010 - 2011
To Purchase Meal Plans - Meal plan selections are made through the University Student Accounts Office. This may be done online by going to the UMW web site www.umw.edu. and then logging in to Eaglenet. Once you are on Eaglenet follow these links: University Resources > University Life > Meal Plan Registration Form.
To Make Meal Plan Changes - You may increase the level of your meal plan at any time. Cancellations or reductions in meal plan levels must be done within the first two weeks of classes each semester. To make changes contact the Student Accounts Office at 540.654.1289.
Using Meals - You may use your meals at any time of the day - as many times a day as you wish - until you have used the number of meals allotted to you for the week or semester - depending upon your plan. For the Super and 5 Meal Plans, your meals are allotted on a weekly basis. A meal week begins with breakfast on Friday. If you are not sure how many meals you have used, you may want to ask a cashier to check your meal plan balance for you. For block plans, you may eat your meals whenever you wish and as many times a week as you wish, until you have used all of the meals allotted to you for the semester.
Meal Exchanges/ "Meal Deals" - Your meal plan "Meals" may be used at the Eagle's Nest or the Underground as "meal exchanges" in order to purchase specified "Meal Deals". So that you will have a variety of menu options at both the Nest and Underground for which you can use your meal plan "Meals, more "Meal Deals" will be offered this year. "Meals" may not be used to purchase a la carte items, so we have added additional Flex Dollars to the new Block Meal Plans to enhance your ability to make retail purchases during the year.
Guest Meals - Five Guest Meals are now included in Block Meal Plans each semester. These Guest Meals may be used for you or your guests. If you run out of Guest Meals you may use Flex Dollars, EagleOne, cash, or credit to purchase a meal for your friends or family.
Special Events - Dining Services sponsors many special events during the year to enhance your dining experiences. Unless otherwise noted, the cost of these events is simply a regular meal plan "meal" (a meal swipe on your EagleOne Card). If you have used all of your meals you may always participate in these events by paying for the price of the meal with Flex Dollars, EagleOne, cash or credit.
